Goals and Objectives

• Provide a forum for anesthesiology educators as they implement the mandate of the ACGME's Outcomes Project
• Identify new curriculum and tools that focus on ACGME Competency based education and evaluation
• Maintain a portion of the SEA Web site dedicated to highlighting ACGME Competency based applications
• Work in conjunction with workshop and meeting Chairs to provided a continuing forum for the discussion of new competency based ideas and their application
• Coordinate initiatives with the Committees on Resident Curriculum, Resident Evaluation, and Faculty Development to explore and promote novel applications for competency based tools
• Provide a nexus of research for the validation of Competency based evaluation tools
• Represent the SEA's work on implementation of the ACGME Outcomes Project to the RRC for Anesthesiology
